Welcome Mallory McHenry: ADMTA Administrative Assistant

Mallory McHenry is a graduate student at the UT Butler School of Music, completing her DMA in Harp Performance. Mallory also received her MM degree from UT in May 2018 as a student of Delaine Leonard. She also holds a BA degree in Performance from Oakwood University.


This year, Mallory was nominated as a Young Artist in Residence for American Public Media’s Performance Today program for their 2018-2019 season. This is a popular classical music radio program and winner of the 2014 Gabriel Award for artistic achievement.  The show reaches 1.4 million listeners weekly and showcases the vitality of today’s classical musicians. Her residency concerts and interviews will air in the spring of 2019.

Mallory has performed with the Austin Civic Orchestra since their 2017-2018 season and enjoys performing with UT’s Orchestras, Bands and the Butler Opera Center. Mallory holds a small private harp studio and as a classically trained pianist, she also offers piano lessons. She is very excited and grateful to join the Austin District Music Teachers Association team as the Administrative Assistant and is looking forward to a great year.
